Right after releasing the stable One UI 8 roadmap and update for Galaxy S25 series users, Samsung has introduced a new photo-editing app called Gallery Assistant. Currently, the app is in the beta stage and comes as part of the Good Lock modules.
The two main highlights of this app are its ability to let users edit images in batches and to bring all essential utility tools into one place. As shown in the screenshot below, the app includes several handy tools such as Reduce size, Rotate & Flip, Image Clipper, Add Watermark, Compare Images, and Save as PDF.

Bringing all these utilities under one roof is a smart move by Samsung. Not only can it save storage space by reducing the need for multiple third-party apps, but it can also improve overall performance by cutting down clutter and keeping everything streamlined.
At the moment, the Gallery Assistant app is only available in South Korea. Samsung hasn’t confirmed when it will be rolled out in other regions. For now, eligible users in South Korea can install the app via the Samsung Members app. They simply need to tap on the Gallery Assistant Beta banner to register first, after which they’ll be able to download it.
According to Samsung, the Gallery Assistant app is compatible with Galaxy S25 series, Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7, and Z Flip 7 FE with One UI 8 or later version. However, I tested it on my Galaxy S23 running the One UI 8 beta, and it worked perfectly fine.

For those outside South Korea, there’s still an option to try out the Gallery Assistant beta by sideloading the APK file on a Galaxy phone running One UI 8 beta. But be cautious — only download APKs from trusted sources, as installing files from unsafe sites could put your device at risk.
