Samsung has launched a new budget smartphone in its F-series lineup in India — the Galaxy F17. It succeeds this year’s Galaxy F16, which debuted in March. The F17 is essentially a rebranded version of the Galaxy A17 with similar specifications and features. However, it is priced more affordably.

Samsung Galaxy F17 5G Specifications and Features:

The Galaxy F17 features a plastic frame with a glass-fiber back, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and IP54 dust and water resistance. It is available in two colors: Neo Black and Violet Pop. On the front, it sports a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-U display with a 90Hz refresh rate, Full HD+ resolution, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection, all in a slim 7.5mm body. Notably, it is the only smartphone in its price segment in India to offer Gorilla Glass Victus protection.

Under the hood, the device is powered by the Exynos 1330 (5nm) chipset, compared to the Dimensity 6300 (6nm) found in its predecessor. It comes in three RAM options — 4GB, 6GB, and 8GB — all paired with 128GB of internal storage. Users can expand the storage further via a microSD card of up to 2TB.

On the software side, the Galaxy F17 runs One UI 7 based on Android 15 out of the box. Samsung has committed to providing up to six years of major Android upgrades and security updates. The phone also brings AI-powered features such as Circle to Search and Gemini Live.

For photography, the smartphone houses a triple-camera setup: a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, a 5MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro camera. On the front, there is a 13MP selfie shooter.

The phone packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging. However, it does not include a charger in the box. Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C.
