One UI 8.5 eligible devices

Samsung has already launched the first official One UI 8.5 beta for the Galaxy S25 series, excluding the S25 Edge and FE models. It’s also no longer a secret that the stable build will debut alongside the Galaxy S26 lineup, which is expected to launch early next year.

More importantly, many users are eager to know whether their Samsung phone or tablet is eligible for the next major update. The thing is, both One UI 8.0 and One UI 8.5 are based on Android 16. This means that even if Android 16 is the last major OS update for your device, it will still be eligible for One UI 8.5 once Samsung begins the official rollout.

When will your Galaxy device receive the One UI 8.5 update?

At the moment, One UI 8.5 is still in the beta testing phase, and it may take several months before Samsung starts rolling out the stable version. For now, you can either wait for the One UI 8.5 beta program to open for your Galaxy device or hold off until the official release begins.

Once Samsung starts pushing the update, we will share full details about supported devices, eligible regions, and the release timeline.
