Good news for Galaxy Z Fold 7 users — Samsung has started rolling out the September 2025 security patch (via @tarunvats33), and it’s not just a routine security update. The new software brings two useful features that enhance your daily experience.

With the latest update, stock prices will now appear directly in the Now Bar, making it easier to track market trends at a glance. On top of that, Samsung has added the ability to place widgets on the DeX home screen, giving users more flexibility and customization while working in DeX mode.

The update is currently live in India and is expected to expand to other regions later today or in the coming days. It weighs around 790 MB and can be identified with the version numbers: F966BXXU4AYI1 / F966BOXM4AYI1 / F966BXXU4AYI1.

  • Do more in DeX on connected displays
You can now add widgets to your Home screen when using DeX on a connected display, as well as control settings for the mouse and on-screen keyboard.
  • Security
The device is protected with improved security.

Please note that the changelog may vary slightly by region, so you may see differences depending on your region. To check if the update has arrived on your Galaxy Z Fold 7, simply go to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
