Just two weeks ago, Samsung rolled out the One UI 8 Beta for Galaxy S23 series users, and today the Korean tech giant has released the second One UI 8 Beta update for the Galaxy S23, S23 Plus, and S23 Ultra.
The update is about 493 MB in size, and the firmware versions can be identified as S911BXXU8ZY15 / S911BOXM8ZY15 / S911BXXU8EY15. It also includes the September 1, 2025 security patch.
This new beta doesn’t bring additional features but focuses on fixing bugs found in the previous build.
Bug Fixes in One UI 8 Beta 2:
- Fixed the reset issue occurring while using the phone.
- Fixed the issue where Dex settings were not retained after updating to One UI 8 via FOTA (Firmware Over-The-Air).
- Fixed the real-time update issue with the Galaxy Watch 7 clock weather app.

If you’re a Galaxy S23 series user running the One UI 8 Beta, you can check for the new update by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install, and then tapping Install now once the download is complete.
Meanwhile, just yesterday, the Galaxy S24 lineup received the Beta 3 update for One UI 8. Given how quickly Samsung is pushing updates to devices enrolled in the One UI 8 Beta, it looks like we’re moving closer to the first stable One UI 8 release.
Multiple reports have hinted that the stable rollout could begin as early as September and continue through November. We’ll keep you updated as soon as the official release starts rolling out — so stay tuned.
