Samsung galaxy M36 and F36 receives One UI 8 Update

Samsung has started rolling out the Android 16-based One UI 8 update for the Galaxy M36 and Galaxy F36 in India. The update weighs around 2.35 GB on the M36 and 2.34 GB on the F36, and carries the firmware versions M366BXXUZBYI3 and E366BXXU2BYI4, respectively.

To check whether the One UI 8 update is available for your device, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install.

While One UI 8 isn’t as major an upgrade compared to One UI 7, it still brings smoother performance and several minor yet useful improvements. These include a 90:10 split-screen view, a new lock screen clock style, a redesigned Samsung Internet app, Audio Eraser, Call Captions, and more refinements throughout the system.

However, what’s even more exciting is the upcoming One UI 8.5, which Samsung is expected to unveil early next year — most likely in January alongside the Galaxy S26 series. The One UI 8.5 update is expected to introduce notable UI design changes and additional features. Both the Galaxy F36 and Galaxy M36 are eligible to receive this future update.
