Good news for Galaxy fans! Samsung has begun expanding its Android 16–based One UI 8 rollout to more regions. On September 15, the company first released the stable version of the One UI 8 update for the Galaxy S25 series in its home country, South Korea. Now, Samsung has started rolling it out globally, at least in India, the UK, and Germany (via Tarun Vats).
As of writing, the update is being delivered first to Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra users who participated in the beta program. Non-beta users can expect it to arrive later today. For beta users, the update size is around 566 MB, and around 4 GB for non-beta users. It also comes with the September 2025 security patch and has build version for this update is S938BXXU5BYI3 / S938BOXM5BYI3 / S938BXXU5BYI3.

Looking at the changelog for beta users, no new features or bug fixes are mentioned. However, since this is a stable release, it’s likely that Samsung has already resolved previous issues but chose not to highlight them. To check if the update has arrived on your Galaxy S25 series, navigate to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
According to Samsung Newsroom, Galaxy S25 series users in Brazil are also expected to receive the stable update today. As for when other regions will receive the One UI 8 update, we’re closely monitoring the rollout. We’ll update this article as soon as more details become available. Stay tuned.
